This past week I have been going from store to store buying Peeps and chocolate bunnies for Kamdyn and Jackson. I have been stressed out with the pending Sunday brunch, and the extremely small oven we have. I truly have no idea how a ham and all the fixings are going to fit. But during all this hustle and bustle, as I typed away at my computer, a simple song on the radio brought me back to reality. If you haven't heard it, it is called "Hallelujah to My King" by Paul Baloche.
In it he sings, "Oh how strong the power of Jesus' name! It is stronger than any other name
How sweet the vict'ry that bore my shame took the burden of my sin away...
Oh what peace the Spirit of Jesus brings through the trials He will carry me
One day, in Heaven, our eyes will meet
Filled with wonder, all the saints will sing...
Hallelujah! What a savior! I owe everything to Him
Hallelujah what a savior Hallelujah to my King!"
How true that is; I owe every blessing I have been given to Him. I have to admit, I got a little teary eyed thinking of my grandma singing up in Heaven and what Easter really means for me. To know, without a doubt, that I will see her again is nothing short of awesome. I am so thankful for family who taught me, and brought me up in Christ, and for the grace that I do not deserve. Have a blessed Easter all!

Kamdyn's Birthday
This past weekend, Matthew and I headed down to Augusta for Kamdyn's 4th birthday. It was so great to see family again. We headed over to Monkey Joe's and watched as Kamdyn and her buddies jumped all over. Kimberly, as always, planned the perfect party. Everything was pink and brown, my new favorite color combo. They even had little monkey cupcakes to go with the monkey theme. Here Ruthie and Mama
Lucy took a break from the action to smile for the camera. It was a fabulous weekend for one super fabulous little monkey! Wednesday, March 24, 2010
Flu shot? What's that?

Holly was diagnosed with the actual flu Monday afternoon and she's been stuck at home ever since. Here she is checking her temperature. She does this about 5 times a day to see if she is turning the corner to being well again. So far, no luck. She is currently at 100.5 from a peak of 102.7 when she was at the doctor on Monday. Yikes.
I didn't get my flu shot either, so I'm trying to stay far enough away to avoid catching it. Only time will tell

Dinner is Served
Normally, I love to cook, but this weekend Matthew took over that duty. He cooked every meal for me, and I must say it was a delicious weekend. We went to the local farmers market, which is really a gigantic store full of every ethic food available, and bought carne asada steak pieces. Our intention was to make tacos out of it, but we had no earthly idea how to do this. Our normal tacos consist of Kroger chicken and a packet of seasoning, but after eating them this way, there is no going back. Matthew sauteed green peppers and tossed the steak in spices. It was delicious! Tonight he made homemade Cajun fried chicken...yum. I am super lucky to have a husband who will take over the stove, not burn the house down, and produce a tasty meal. It is indeed the simple things in life.

Reece Turns One, Mom Visits, and a Weenie Mobile
This was a big week for us here in Dunwoody. My mom came into town to help celebrate my littlest nephew's first birthday.
The entire family gathered around for cake and presents; naturally, Reece like the wrapping paper the best. He totally dived into the cake, made a gigantic mess, and then passed out from sugar overload. Here you can see the before and
after images. After the party the family went outside for a little slide action. Here guga is helping Reece down the slide. Later that evening we all piled in the minivan and headed out to do some window shopping. Along the
way we spotted the Oscar Meyer Weenie-mobile. I made them pull over so we could get out and see it. This is a pretty big deal, I mean who can say that they have been in the weenie-mobile. Jackson jumped right i
n and sat in the front near the driver. Matthew and I decided to just pose in front of the bus. I have never heard so many different version of the "Oh, I wish I were an Oscar Meyer wiener" song in my life. If you whistled and/or sang the theme correctly the gave you a weenie whistle.
Reece also go an Indiana Hoosier jogging suit as a present. I couldn't resist a picture with him in it. Who knows, with the way IU has been playing, he may actually have a shot at playing there some day. It was really nice to have mom here in town for awhile too. I even skipped school a day so we could gallivant around town. It was a great weekend with family.
