Friday Frolicking with Goose

Lucy has requested to get her "ghost" picture made at the Haunted mansion store or some time now, just like Vera did. So while big sis is at school, Goose put on her maid costume and headed off to work. She did a great job keeping a straight face.

My sweet ghost host

Taking her job very seriously
Then after a few rides we went and saw some princesses. For the first time ever, Lucy was nervous.

She looks a little unsure of Princess Elena, but we sure did have a good time.

Farmer Lucy

Vera woke up with a fever and was stuck on the couch, so Lucy and I needed to escape. Instead of the usual trip to Disney, we went to Green Meadows Farm. Vera and Holly got to go before on a field trip, but for Lucy and me, it was our first time. I was very impressed. We had a great time.

We started out our "tour" with baby chickens.

Lucy said her favorite animal was the pigs. She got to feed them lettuce.

We then headed over to the goats. Lucy wanted to take a picture of me this time.

The Goats got some lettuce too.

Okay Lucy. Getting a little too close to those fingers.

Then off to the chickens. They let you go in the pen and try to catch your own chicken. Most of them are use to this, so they don't put up much of a fight.

Lucy finally agreed to hold one. She did great.

Daddy, Lucy, Chicken selfie!

Time to feed something again. They must go through a lot of lettuce each day.

Munch munch.

A peacock showed off for us. There are several that just walk around showing off.

Pony Ride!!

And there is a train!

We were able to catch up with a pretty big turtle. He is 80 years old!

We then headed over to pet some rabbits.

After the rabbits, there were a few more animals that we skipped. Lucy couldn't stand it any longer. She had to hit up the various playgrounds they have all over the farm.

Showing off her climbing skills.

Practicing her spin.

Super cute at the top of the play ground

Cutest pig I've ever seen.

Oink

Moooo

Baaaaa

Silly goat!

On our way out, she tried to drive the big red tractor.

She looks like a natural.

We had a fabulous time!!!

Easter Egg Hunt

Once again our neighborhood held a huge Easter egg hunt for all the kiddos. The girls were ready with their boots so their feet wouldn't get soggy. They managed to secure spots at the front and were ready to go when the ribbon was pulled away.
Glad to see Vera listened to Matthew's advice to head to the back of the grass and out of the traffic.
We arrived early and snapped this before all the crowds arrived. They were both super excited and willing to participate

Giving big sister advice to Goose

"Please, no photos" stated Lucgoose.
Hands on hips, smiles on lips!
Thousands of eggs as far as the eye cold see

Lucy's hunt went first and she was all business

"What do you mean I got a paperclip? Where's the candy" questioned Lucy?
She was distraught by the no candy situation for a second year in a row.
She quickly recovered when she realized she could also try again in Vera's age group
