The Last Night in Georgia

Moving to Florida was pretty tough, mainly because we had to say goodbye to all our family and friends. It sure is amazing how many wonderful people you meet when you live in a place for ten years. 

One last look out our window before jumping in the car and heading to Aunt Heidi's for one last dinner.

One last bath together. Normally there is screaming and fighting over toys, but not this time. It was like they could sense that this was the last time they would be doing this for awhile 

When Luke wanted to get out, so did Vera. She got her leg right up on that ledge. We sure do miss family; you take for granted how close everyone is and how much fun we had together. Now we just need to hope that everyone will come down and visit really soon. We love and miss you all. 

Luke Turns the Big One

This Saturday we went on over to the zoo and celebrated cousin Luke's first birthday. Since Vera and Luke are great buddies, she decided to keep her hair bow in for the occasion. 

Vera just loves her Luke. He looks so grown up in his sweater vest. She just loves snuggling him and putting him into a choke hold. I think he secretly likes it though. Just look how happy, and ornery, Vera looks. 

Vera sure is gonna miss Luke when we move. What will he do without her to steal his toys and bully him? She's spent every day with him since she was four months old; the separation is gonna kill me. 

This about sums the party up. One on the move Reece, Jackson seems to be yelling, Vera and Luke are not paying attention, two criers, and two smiling. Chaos, but a blast.

Ve and Guga just snuggling it up. At church the next day she ran up to Guga  when she saw her...a first for our  apprehensive Vera. She ran right into her arms and snuggled. 

The car was a big hit and all the kids wanted to see it out of the box. If you look closely, you can see little Luke attempting to look over the top of the box.

Just playing around at the end of the night. It was a great party and a wonderful little boy. We sure are gonna miss all the Elseroad boys when we move more then they will ever know.

Christmas in Anderson

This past weekend we celebrated Matthew's birthday and a belated Christmas with the Terry side of the family. It is so much fun to see Vera around her cousins; she just loved Kamdyn and would follow her everywhere. Vera is sure gonna miss spending time with the girls when we head to FL. She already told me she plans to harass Uncle Richard into a visit as soon as possible. They even spent some time playing together in her newly painted toy box (photos to come after the move). Once we put on our pajamas, it was time to open some presents. 

Here Vera is opening her first ever monogrammed top; she tossed it immediately and went back to the toys. It looks super cute on and made everyone at Publix ask what her name was. Apparently, they don't see many "V"s. Thanks for my keyboard Aunt Kimberly and Uncle Richard! It's awesome

Vera finally added Uncle Richard into her circle of trust. It was almost a year and a half in the making, but it was worth it. He helped her play blocks and she even sat in his lap. She'll love him even more when we all go to Disney World.

Little Hoosiers

This past Christmas Guga gave all the grand kids Indiana gear. This was  our attempt to get all four together for a picture. Reece is hiding in the background, Luke just wants down, and Jackson just wants the photo shoot to be over.
