A Shared Day

This year Father's Day happened to fall on Lucy's 4th birthday. It was a wonderful day celebrating two of my favorite people; I don't know what I would do without you two. You make life awesome!
Matthew,
You are such an amazing father and we are so blessed to have you as our guide. They say the title "Father" is so special because God chose to share it with you; He lets you borrow it. He assigned Vera and Goose to you, and what an honor it is to see you with them.  You provide amazing support to them every day. You speak calmly and praise them in all they do. They will grow to be patient and kind and they get this from you. You love them with their futures in mind; you are their hero and their role model. The girls are always watching and imitating you, and you imitate Jesus in so many ways.Thank you for being their father. We love you the most!

Lucy,
Happy 4th birthday Goose! What a little lady you are growing up to be. You are strong, stubborn and sweet all rolled into one package. You are perfectly content staying home and snuggling all day. You fiercely love Veve and Daddy and claim them as your favorite people. You are shy and don't like to be the center of attention, but it is wonderful. After all, Jesus said blessed are the meek. Your laugh can make me smile on the darkest days, and your "group hugs" are the highlight of my day. But most importantly you have a heart for Jesus, and Goose, nothing else matters as much as this. Always remember that God is for you, and with Him on your side you can do anything! I pray you always have Jesus in your heart and follow Him all the days of your life. I love you the most,
Mom

Never Fully Dressed

Vera loves all things acting and singing. It terrifies me, but I think I have a drama kid on my hands. she attended a local drama camp for girls and they put on a really cute show. Vera did a great job memorizing all her parts and singing her sweet song. Well done Ve!

2017 Talent Show

The other weekend Vera participated in her school talent show. She wanted to participate, so I encouraged her to get a group of her friends together and we would come up with something. I honestly thought she would forget about it, but she got nine of her buddies together, and thus the Kindergarten Hula was born. I held practice once a week, and we had a blast. The girls did a great job and I was so proud of them for getting up on stage and doing their thing!

Vera also got to be a part of a kindergarten through eighth grade ensemble of Annie. She had to get up and practice at 7AM every Tuesday for two months, and she loved it! We listened to the Annie soundtrack every day and were not allowed to sing her solo part "Santa Clause what's that, who's he?" I loved seeing her dedication and hard work coming together. She's in the front row on the far left in the gray pajamas. Please take note of her "cartwheels" at the end. Priceless.

Ladies and gentlemen, the kindergarten hula. Vera's in the front in the blue skirt. Afterwords she was a little upset that she messed up once, but I think she did great! She kept going and had fun, and that's all I can ask for! Well done Veve.

Most of the kindergarten hula gang. Vera had already changed clothes for Annie.

Vera and her buddy Victoria have been friends since they were two. Constantly giggling.
I made her take a selfie with me after the show

Goose being the ever supporting sister

And after the show we headed to the pool for a little celebration. Well done girls!

What a great day filled with talent and fun!

Giddy Up

One day while Vera was at school we decided to take a tour of the Disney hotels. We rode the monorail, a boat, and even the horses.
Guga and Goose at the Polynesian
And then Lucy asked to take a picture of us. not too shabby if I do say.
Just giggling and relaxing on a bench at The Grand Floridian

Then we headed over to Fort Wilderness and took a tour of the horse stables. We even go tot see Walt's original calliope that he used to open Disneyland fifty years ago! It takes eight giant horses to pull it in a parade.

And then there were the horse, giant, beautiful horses. This was Lucy with Storm. He is the Headless Horseman's horse at Halloween, so he's kind of a big deal. All the parade/work horses were huge and weighed in at two thousand plus pounds.
After visiting the horses at the stable, we decided to ride on a few ourselves.
Guga and Goose taking a ride on the pony.

It was a great day out and about with Guga and Goose!

Lucy's Last Day

And just like that, another year has come and gone. Lucy will officially be in preK next year! How is she four already?!

Goose on her way to the last day of "little kid school". She was happy as a clam.
The kids put on a super cute graduation program. I can't wait to see whats in store for Goose. She is so smart, kind, and shy. I just love her to pieces.
Watching the other kids act a fool after the performance. Lucy wold have none of it and just wanted to go home and relax.
There's her smile! so hard to get it out of her if she is in a stubborn mood.

Happy last day Lucy!
With the best teacher ever Mrs Joslyn. What a great year we had learning and growing up! Now on the PreK!
