Girls Day Out

While Matthew was out of town, we headed to Hollywood Studios. I don't think I will every get tired of going to Disney with these two; it is always such a fun, happy time..

Finally get them to ride Tower of Terror. It is one of my favorites, but they usually refuse to rid it due to the slightly freaky Twilight Zone theme.

Third Grade goes to NASA

Living in Orlando definitely has some perks, and being close to NASA. Lucy's third grade class took the day and headed to the space coast.

Lucy with some astronauts. She decided not to go into space since she gets motion sickness, but she is not ruling out being a nurse to the astronauts

Lucy's 3rd grade tribe. I think it looks like an album cover

The sheer scale of thee ships is mind boggling

Of course we came home with a NASA hat and shirt.

Love how Lucy stopped to read every plaque.

Daddy Daughter Dance

I love that the girls still love going to the Daddy/Daughter Dance with Matthew. It is so special to me. Growing up without a Dad in my life, I see how amazing Matthew is with the girls. He shows them patience and love every day. such a wonderful example of what Christlike love looks like. These years theme was Flower Power, and they went all out.

Sweet peace Goose

Peace, love, and these three

How lucky to have these three in my life

Lucy was so excited she asked me to curl her hair. I just adore how happy Lucy always is; she always looks on the bright side of life.

My sweet preteen Veve. I pray you always have time to laugh and hang out with Dad

Odyssey of the Mind

This year Vera auditioned and was chosen to participate in the school's Odyssey of the Mind team. The team was charged with creating a unique circus themed play with very strict requirements, a  tight budget, and parents were 100% not allowed to help. These kids were so creative and solved the science, math,  and other problems in ways that still blow my mind. The made water change color, objects appear out of nowhere, all while acting as one of a kind circus acts. They spent hours researching and working behind the scenes, I still have the paint on my garage floor to prove it. Vera was a tap dancing parrot and it was glorious. We are so proud of you Vera and your One Button Circus

Vera working hard on her parrot costume. She added glitter dots and created her own tutu and head piece. There  were tears of frustration, but I am so proud of how she persevered and kept going.
