One Year Photos

Vera's birthday party is next Saturday, but we couldn't wait to get her one year photos done. Here are a few of my favorites and a video at the bottom with all of them.

Thanks Aunt Kathy for My New Stripes

Everyone at day care is going to be soooo jealous.

Our LIttle Tiger

Vera attended her first Clemson tailgate with us this past weekend and boy did our little tiger have a blast. She had no major meltdowns or mishaps, I think we may have gotten off easy this time. Here she is in her full on tiger suit from Guga. That bad boy kept her super warm, and looking adorable. We added a purple bow so that I would not get the "oh that's such a cute little boy" comment one hundred times.
I'm ready for my close-up please. Too bad they don't look anything alike.

My little tiger. I have it on good authority that this tiger suit was realistic and very much like the real Clemson one.

Aunt Kimbery and sweet Kamdyn with Vera. She loves Kamdyn, but this weekend she finally gave in and let Aunt Kimberly hold her. Once Vera decides your a member of the circle of trust, you seem to be a member for life.

Their close-up

Here's the whole family looking stunning as always.

The next day at Mama Lucys' Vera decided to wear her "my daddy loves me more than football" sweatshirt. Here she is all smiles as daddy tickles her tummy. Recently that gets a super big giggle out of her.

Hood up and ready to roll.

The serious side of Vera Anne Terry

Once we got home, we took Vera over to Aunt Heidi and Uncle Dan's so that we could run around and look at some potential houses. Here she is with Luke enjoying a nice fall wagon ride. Great weekend!

Need a Good Laugh?

Vera was in a laughing mood the other day, so I recorded just the sound for others to enjoy. I had to make it a video with just a picture so I could put it on the blog.

Fall is in the Air

This weekend we headed to a local farm with Vera and the boys. It was smaller then the farm we went to before, but it had a hayride and plenty of pumpkins to entertain the kiddos. Here we all are attempting to take a group photo. This was the best we could do...a taste of Christmas pictures to come perhaps.
We all enjoyed a hayride around the grounds. Vera loved looking over the edge and taking in the beautiful scenery. Matthew was holding onto her and I was scared that she would fall out.

Jackson just relaxing and taking it all in.

Here's Reese climbing in a wagon on our way to the hayride.

I got to hold little Luke on the ride. He smiled the entire time and was as good as gold. He was clapping his hands here.

Can I see those dad?

Vera and Luke had their own personal wagon and pumpkin. She LOVED being carted around. She just would giggle every time we turn the corner.

And this about sums up the chaos that comes when we all get together. Enough said.

Luke looking like a little Ralph Lauren model.

We attempted to get a family shot, but again, this was the best we could do. Perfect weather, perfect day.

Peek-a-boo

Vera loves when you hide your face and reappear with with a peek-a-boo greeting. She'll even lean around the corner or pull the pillow away if you take too long to reappear.

The other day, she hid behind her play kitchen and did a peek-a-boo role reversal where she was doing the hiding. She did it several times before I could get the video camera running, but here is a quick clip of her final round.

The Great Pumpkin

This weekend we packed up the car and took a short little trip into the North Georgia mountains to Burt's Pumpkin Patch. I have no idea who Burt is, but boy does he know his pumpkins. Here Vera is next to the ones the size of a big rig tire. She was not to sure about them at first, see picture to the left, but then she discovered they were fun to bang on.

Here she is among the giant ones. It really reminded my of Snoopy rising out of the pumpkin patch on Halloween night. Here V and I are relaxing and goofing off.

Daddy with his big girl and at least a fifty pounder.

Loving life and all the pint size pumpkins. They were just the right size for her to hold.

Here we are examining the Indian corn. I remember this stuff hanging from our front door as a kid, and it took all my strength not to buy some for ours. V loved all the bright colors and textures.

Vera just relaxing by the miniature pumpkins. I think she was distracted by the tractor in this one.

This is Vera's best shot of the afternoon. She is all smiles and happy as a clam among a sea of tiny, orange pumpkins.

Just making sure she got a good one.
Smiling for daddy as he jingled his keys in an attempt to get her to look at the camera

Hey there sweet pea

Daddy and Vera at the hay bale photo op. She just loves her daddy to pieces and smiles every time for him.

V and Matthew standing on a pumpkin in front of the "please do not stand on the pumpkins" sign. What are you gonna do?

Look at those blue eyes and cheeks; I could be talking about either one of them really. Totally unfair that she still looks nothing like her mom. Maybe some day. I am starting to question if I actually went to the pumpkin patch with them after looking at all these pictures. Here V is being hoisted up so she could see all the pumpkins. Best pumpkin patch ever; there had to be a million pumpkins there. White ones, green ones, warty ones...you name it, they had it.
Checking out one of the wheel barrels full of pumpkins. They were all over the place so families could cart around their perfect orange masterpieces from nature.

My little pumpkin taking a break from it all on her pumpkin. It was the perfect fall day and a great tradition to start with Vera. We left with one small pumpkin and a loaf of pumpkin spice bread. I can't wait to come back next year when she'll be old enough to run around and take a hay ride.
