First Day of First and Third

I'm not sure how summer blew past us in the blink of an eye, but here we are at the start of another school year. Vera going into third and Goose in first. It is such a blessing to get to see them grow into such awesome young little ladies. The are definitely my heart, and as they go off to learn and do great things, I pray God will guide their days. That He will place loving friends and teachers around them to help them grow when I can't be there. Here's to another wonderful year!

Looking so grown up and ready to conquer the world.

She's 54 pounds of awesome! Se loves LOLs, the color teal, and Dork Diaries.

This is her in a nutshell. She's so sweet

My sweet Goose, who colored on her board in permanent marker.
She loves LOLs, her pet bat Ozzey, and the book Night, Night Little Tiger. She wants to be a veterinarian for NASA and help animals travel to space.

I adore her belly laugh

Showing off their new backpacks

And we're off to our first morning together. I love that they will come with me all eight years
They are the best part of my work day

It's appropriate you can see the word "this" at the bottom of the picture. This is what makes life so great, these three. Oh how I love them.

Blast Off with Guga

Vera won tickets to Kennedy Space Center at the Summer Reading party at our local library. Guga was visiting and watching the girls for me while I headed back to school. So logically there was no better time to head to the space coast and check it all out. Lucy was thrilled since she is determined to work for NASA, a mom can only hope, right?

It was a super hot day, but we were ready for it.
With all the rockets standing tall in the background.
it was awe inspiring
One of the buildings where the rockets are stored and worked on before they head to the launchpad. Lucy is standing on a star that is the same size as the ones on the building behind her. The size of the shuttles is unbelievable.

Despite the heat, Vera decided to jump out of the bus and get in on the pictures too.

The same catwalk the astronauts take to enter the space shuttles.

I honestly don't remember what this is, but don't they look cute.

Sitting on the Mars Rover model

My people watching a show about our American space heroes. True to form I got teary eyed. It is simply amazing what God allowed us to accomplish
Vera decided that she would not like to spend any amount of time in this two man capsule. I must say I agree with her; itty-bitty living space.

The size of the rockets and shuttles was just unbelievable.

There was so much to do, but Ve could not resist sitting in the drivers seat.

Goose made a great co-pilot.
Checking out all the shuttles

Goose has decided she would like to work for NASA in the mission control room. She in no way wants to go into space, and I can support that.

May you always believe you can achieve anything!
Checking out the spacesuit

Being married to Matthew is out of this world! I had to.

Spacegoose

Such a great day spent learning and being inspired by all the brave men and women who had the vision to go to space. May the girls always be brave and choose to do hard things.
