Dancing on the Boardwalk...Day 1

This past week we took our annual family beach trip to Madeira Beach. It was a great week with family and beach fun.
The face of pure happiness.
At dinner Jackson confiscated my margarita
Thick as thieves
Being silly with Uncle Matthew

When you're at the kiddie table, drinks make everything better. Actually, they were all very well behaved.
And Lucgoose found her way back to the store with the letters.

Having fun in her favorite store on the boardwalk. She just loved all the letters.
The Beach Club kids 2015
Vera and Chubby picked up right where they had left off. It makes my heart happy
He kept his arm around her like that the entire walk back to the beach
They walked in perfect step together.
Getting kisses from the two handsome guys in her life.
Veve was too cool in her shades
Sittin' on the dock of the bay just watchin the tide roll away

Sweet Lucy trying so hard to climb up like the big kids.
Magnum PI has nothing on Chubby
Jackson was such a sweet big cousin. he looked out for Lucy the entire night.
Lucgoose loves Uncle Dan to pieces. He is one of the few people that she runs right up to an hugs.
Just giggling and having a grand old time
Veve and Chubby practicing their ballroom dancing skills. They actually look like they know what the are doing here. The tangoed all the way down the boardwalk.
And turn!
I pray they are close all their lives

They didn't want to stop for a picture, but I made them. It was a great first evening with the crew.

The Last Day of 3PreK

I don't know when it happened, but another school year has come and gone. Vera learned so much and is growing way too fast for my liking.
Veve with her amazing teachers. We are so grateful to these women who teach Ve about Jesus daily. They are wonderful example of grace and humility. We just love our school and everyone there. It was a fabulous year.
Here she is back in August, on the first day.
She is growing into such a beautiful young lady.
Lugooose insisted on getting in the picture too.
we're ready and excited for VPK next year! Bring it on!

Father's Day 2015

Every year we make a video for Matthew of all our shenanigans of the past year, and this year was no different; however, this year Vera helped me choose all the pictures. She loved helping make the video for him. We love him more than words and are so lucky to have him as our husband/dad. We love you the most Matthew!

Roller-skates and Ruffels

Aunt Kathy and Uncle Jim sent Lucy  a birthday box and she was over the moon with happiness. She immediately put on her new roller skates and cruised like a pro around the neighborhood. she loved it, and Vera loved "teaching" her how to roll.
Getting her first lesson from our resident skating pro
Vera was quick to help her up when she feel; she only bit the dust once.
They started out skating at a glacial pace, but ended up at a nice cruising speed.
Matthew and his roller gals
best friends
And Lucy got a fabulous new Cinderella swim cover up. She insisted on wearing it everywhere despite my best efforts to convince her that is was for the pool. She kept saying "I wear my pretty dress". Why the heck not Lucgoose, you rock your princess cover up.
Thank you so much Aunt Kathy and Uncle Jim for making Lucy's birthday special. We love you!

And Back to India He Goes

Matthew had to travel back in India again this week, and we kept busy doing all sorts of exciting outings.
We toured the local fire station and even got to sit in the truck
Lucgoose jumped right up there and actually refused to get down.
We went mining for rocks since Vera is obsessed with rocks. Seriously, the girls has an intense  rock collection.
Sifting the dirt away to reveal her "jewels"

She was so proud of herself.

We got some cupcakes at Downtown Disney
There were swim lessons. Vera has learned so much already. She can survival float, and just about anything else. I think it is safe to say that I have a fish on my hands this summer.
Here she is jumping in the deep end and kicking over to the safety of the ladder.

We had a pool party, complete with Popsicles, to celebrate the end of preschool
Some of the gang enjoying a swim break with snacks.
Vera refuses to swim without her goggles and her giant swim fins on her feet. Whatever.
It was a really fun week, but we sure are glad to have Matthew back home.
