Christmas at Ruthie and the Lights of Anderson

After a great afternoon, we headed back to Ruthie's to open cousin Christmas presents. I didn't get many pictures, but it was a fabulous evening.
Vera passing out some of the goodies.
Checking at Karcie's new cars
Matthew and his new Clemson shirt
Lucgoose with her amazing new light up Cinderella dress from the NC Terrys. I can't wait to see her meet Cinderella at Magic Kingdom in it.

After all the present hoopla, we packed up the cars and drove to the City of Anderson Christmas lights. Vera was super pumped at the photo opportunities.

Ice Skating

After a great visit with Mama Lucy, we headed downtown for some cousin time and pizza.
Walking hand in hand
Serious cuteness
Lucy is in there somewhere
Kamdyn was so sweet to Lucy and helped entertain her as we waited for lunch. Here they were coloring Christmas tress.
She was crying and screaming and we couldn't figure out why. Turns out, she just wanted a ride on her Daddy's shoulders.
Happy as a clam once he hoisted her up
After pizza we walked over to the "ice" skating rink. Vera had been begging us all season to go skating, and what better time ten with your cousins.
The girls started out a little shaky, but quickly got the hang of zipping around on skates.
She was giddy
They ditched the helper contraption pretty quickly. Lucy preferred to skate with Matthew.

There were a few falls, and attempted Aunt Kimberly take downs too
But soon she was zipping around like a pro.
Then Lucy had to try in an effort to keep up with the older girls

Being silly
The coolest skaters I know

The Terry girls
Uncle Richard jumped in the cousins picture and it totally threw Lucy for a loop. She kept yelling at him to get out of the picture. The rest of our time together she kept telling him to get out of the picture.

The best kiddos I know
It was a great morning skating and being silly

Singing with Mama Lucy

The next day we headed back for another visit with Mama Lucy. I sure do love seeing the girls get to spend time with her.
We brought along some beads to make Christmas wreath ornaments with and the girls put together some to decorate Mama Lucy's room and walker.
Then it was time for some serious matching game
She had just finished showing Mama Lucy her reindeer
Mama Lucy and her gals
Sweet girls
Just holding hands with Mama Lucy
The girls were getting a tad restless so I suggested that they sing a song for Mama Lucy. It turned into a small performance and it was glorious. Mama Lucy even sang along for a few songs.

Christmas at Aunt Kathy and Uncle Jim's House

We were so excited to head over to Aunt Kathy and Uncle Jim's for our first official Christmas of the season. Nothing beats time with family, and as always it was just so special.
You can definitely tell they are cousins

Giving Kamdyn sweet kisses
Vera just kept giggling with happiness. She adores them, but especially Kamdyn

Vera was actually looking at the camera and not scary smiling or flashing the Frozen fingers
Lucy loved Kamdyn so much she even picked her over Mom and Dad. We see how it is Lucy.

The rare, and illusive, cousin picture.

Frame this and call it a day.
And then it was time to open presents. Lucy wouldn't let Uncle Jim open a single one. She just kept saying, "let me help you", and then totally took over the fun of unwrapping.
"Helping" Uncle Jim.
Grandpa Larry gave the girls a piano keyboard, and here Vera is getting a lesson. I think it may be time to start her in official lessons.
Not to be outdone, here's Lucy attempting to play.
It was anotherr fabulous Christmas with Aunt Kathy and Uncle Jim, who once again spoiled us rotten. We love you guys!
