My Lucgoose

Lucy is just hilarious. She is so laid back and sweet, but she can be stubborn as tar too. I just love spending time with her.
She has commandeered Vera's Tutu Bear and it is officially hers now. I think it is because it was Veve's and smells like her. Anyway you look at it, it's just precious.
She adores Vera and repeats everything she says and does.
Bath time is one of her favorite times of day.
Her hair was out of control after she put hot dog grease in it
She adores Minnie Mouse and wears this outfit whenever I let her.
Lucy in a half shell, Lucy power!

The Other Day at the Park

The other day Vera looked so grown up I attempted to get a few pictures of her. These just make me giggle and sigh because they capture her personality perfectly.
Jumping as high as she could.
It took everything she had in her to stand still for this.
The "I'm not really listening to you , Mom" face
When did she get so big?
I sure do love this sweet face
Getting an airplane ride from me.
Future super model?
My attempt at a picture with my girls. yet another swing and a miss.

And So We Wait

And just like that it's been one year. One year since Reece thought I was Guga, one year since the phone was passed to him and he talked so fast I couldn't understand him, one year of walking sadly by the Spider-Man aisle, one year since the cousins were all together this side of Heaven, one year since he sleepily came downstairs and snuggled his mom while I just smiled, one year since I saw him look adoringly at Dan. All these things and infinitely  more break my heart.
But then I remember it's been one year in Jesus' presence, one year of hearing angle symphonies, one year of Heaven. It is still beyond horrible, and still hard to wrap my mind around. I think of him daily, in the tiniest of ways, little reminders from above. I wish to God it was different, but I know I'll see Reece again, one day. Until then, I'll be that lady that cries at Disney when I see brothers together, or at songs in church that remind me of you and the wonderful Savior with whom you rest. We love you forever Reece.
I remember this moment like it was yesterday, and it makes me giggle.
"We couldn't love you more, but someone does...Jesus"

Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day was extra sweet this year. The girls and I went to Hollywood Studios to celebrate . Vera insisted on making "love bugs" for all her friends; I still have super glue on my fingers!Matthew surprised me with  beautiful flowers and a Mickey Mouse Nutcracker for next Christmas. It was a lovely day with the people I love most.

A swing and a miss with the Disney photo prop.

Tutu Obsessed

Poor little Lucy has to sit in the waiting room every Monday for an hour and a half while Vera takes her dance lessons. Spending all that time hanging out with ballerinas and dancers has started to rub off on her. Now she insists on wearing a tutu on a daily basis. ALL THE TIME! Luckily we had all of Vera's old ones for her to sport.
Lucgoose sporting her reed tutu with matching cowgirl hat
Nothing says it's cold outside like a zebra tutu
Stopping to smell the flowers

And then she decided to add a giant hair bow.
She even wears them when she sleeps
And then she found Vera's old dance costume, taking her love of tutus to the next level
I sure do love my Lucgoose, tutus and all!

Sisters and Strawberries

The other day after church we walked down to the farmer's market for some fresh local strawberries. We snaked on them as we sat by the lake. I love watching these two together, especially when they aren't fighting over a toy or gaining up on me.

Trying to get Lucy to laugh, but all she wanted to do was eat her berries.
Feeding the  fishes with some leftovers
It was a great afternoon by the lake. I can't wait till it's warm enough  to go swimming and really enjoy the lake.
