Oh I Love America!

All the kindergarten classes performed a song filled salute to America instead of the traditional kindergarten graduation. It was precious and I cried more then once. One hundred and fifty tiny little voices singing songs about how they love their country got me...but especially I'm Proud to be an American. It gets me every time. Lucy was dressed as a Suffragette and delivered her line perfectly.

Our wonderful neighbor who has become more like family even came to support Goose. 

The kids were allowed to be out of uniform as long as they wore patriotic colors. Lucy nailed it, and the sneaky bunny ear move.

Aloha Summer!

The last day of school could not come soon enough for all three of us. We had a great year, but were ready to give up early morning wake up calls and exchange them for snuggling. We said goodbye to kindergarten and second grade and look forward to relaxing by the pool and spending time together. 

We also got new short hair cuts for reaching our reading goals and fabulous report cards.

The best kindergarten teacher ever, Mrs. Miller. Lucy sure lucked out with her. I can't believe my girls are growing up, but I love watching it happen. They are turning into such great little girls who make me proud every day. 

The Art Show

One of the girls favorite after school activities is art class. They love it more then dance or any sport. They get to go once a week for three hours and it is beyond amazing. They have worked with clay, pastels, water color, and everything else you could imagine. How wonderful to get to relax and be creative. The girls have been collecting their favorite pieces throughout the year to add to their portfolios and display during their showcase. Finally, the art showcase night arrived and to say the girls were excited would be an understatement.

Life is better with a little color and Vera and Lucy's art. 

Because They're Happy

And just like that another dance season has come and gone. Vera was in jazz and acro, and Lucy did acro and ballet. They loved it, and i loved watching their confidence grow.  

Vera danced to "Happy". I secretly think she loved her costume with the fringe on it more then the performance itself. She looks entirely too grown up here. 

This. I hope they always look out for each other and stay ass close as they are now. 

Lucy was a little "leary" from Mary Poppins Returns. They danced to Trip a Little Light Fantastic". I loved this costume and how adorable the girls looked. 

Goose has such a kind and spunky spirit.
