Lucy's First Haircut

The other day while Vera was at princess etiquette camp, Lucy and I headed to Magic Kingdom for some fun and to get her first haircut. My sweet girl is growing up!
Just taking a break on the barbershop floor. Magic Kingdom takes it out of you when you're three.
All smiles as the haircut preparations began. She was so excited to be a "big kid"
Getting distracted by the spinning Dory toy as our wonderful barber snipped away all her baby locks.

Lucy asked for a ponytail with princess glitter, and boy did she get it. That glitter was cemented to her head two weeks and multiple shampoos later.

Big girls need glitter.

Her "my first haircut" Mickey ears. Unlike Veve, Lucy wore them all day!
Happy as a clam and growing up too fast

With all her stickers in front of the barber poll
Before six inches was cut off her hair, we had to go and see Donald and Minnie for some courage. Lucy was sure to tell them all that she was headed to get her haircut.

Daisey needed some Lucy snuggles too
Twirling with your friends is always fun!

It was a great day to get a first haircut!

Lucky Number Seven!

The other weekend we celebrated seven wonderful years as a family, and there is no place else I'd rather be.
The best family I could ever dream of
Nothing like a little magic to celebrate seven fabulous years
The photo guy had this idea to have the girls act disgusted and it makes  me giggle
For some reason we thought the girls could make it all night and see the electrical parade. Vera was excellent, but Lucy was exhausted and was ready to go home by parade time. She tightened up for the parade itself, but fell asleep on Matthew's shoulders as we walked out.
Here's to everything that lies ahead!

God Bless America

I love all things patriotic and couldn't resist a mini photo shoot with the girls in their beautiful new dresses, thank you Aunt Kathy and Uncle Jim!
Stars and stripes forever

Lucy was not paing attention because the neighborhood ugly ducks were waddling her way.

She was shaking her booty here

Messy hair, don't care

Matthew and his gals

Lucy was over it and just wanted to get back into the airconditioning. In her defense it was 102 that day.
In a show of solidarity, Vera made a sad face too

Sweet and sassy

The ugly duck photo bomb. It was all fun and games until Vera sat down in the grass and got ugly duck poop on her shoe. To say she freaked out would be the understatement of the week.

I must admit I was very impressed by the  height Matthew got on his jump.
Lucy running towards me in a full out sprint
And her Clemson tackle position

It was a great way to kick off our celebration of the greatest country in the world!
