Goose is 9 and other Harry Otter Business

After we returned from Europe, we had a small gathering of friends to celebrate Goose turning 9. How lucky are we to have this little lady in our lives. She chose a Harry Otter cake, and once again I think Publix nailed it. Happy 9th birthday to our sweet Goose!

Guga Turns 75

To end the summer we headed to North Carolina to celebrate Guga turning 75 years young. How blessed wee are to have her in our lives.

Girl Time

As summer draws to an end, it always reminds me how much I love hanging out with these two. They have the ability to make me smile more than anyone else (they can drive me nutter-butters too). I hope they always find time to hang out with me, because I sure do love them so.

July 4th

Fourth of July is always special to us. We get to live in the best country in the world, and I love our little bike parade way of celebrating it. This marks the eighth year we have decorated and rode our bikes in the parade, and I love it! Such a special and ridiculously hot tradition.

The sparklers this year gave off an unusual amount of smoke. 

Of course we hit up the pool all day after the parade

Then we walked down for the fireworks  show. It was honestly better than Disney!

Vera won this giant beachball in the neighborhood hula-hoop contest. She hula-hooped her way to 4th of July victory.
