Lucy's 10 Months

Our Lucgoose turned 10 months old on April 18th. Here are some fun facts about our Lucy:

She is completely mobile now and walking around the house and neighborhood like she owns them.

She weighs in at a whopping 22lbs. Little but mighty for sure!

She rode in a bicycle for the first time, loved the ride but hated the harness

She loves her Minnie Mouse toy 

She hates naps and refuses to take them most days

She eats ANYTHING, but prefers apple sauce

She loves giving "baby hugs"

She points to everything and giggles at the phrase "whoopsie poopsie" 

She loves playing in Vera's room and heads straight for it every morning. Vera is fine with it as long as Lucy stays out of her tent; "it's for big girls only".

She loves bath time with Vera, but they fight over the toys. She hates water in her eyes.

She smiles all the time and it makes my heart happy

The best part about these photos was that they were all free. The lady at Target was a half hour late, and since we didn't give her a hard time she gave us a complimentary session. 

She would run towards the camera and we had to put her back about five times before we got a good one. There's no stopping her now.

I don't know where time seems to be going, but I am loving every minute of it with my sweet girls. 

It was like seeing a Unicorn!

The other day we headed to Magic Kingdom to see the ever popular, and extremely illusive, Anna and Elsa from Frozen. Seriously, the wait to see them was 240 minutes...4 hours people! It has been that long of a wait since Christmas and is already booked up with Fastpasses until August. I would not wait that long to see the President or the Queen of England, let alone a character. Luckily we had a good friend who had a magic voodoo pass that cruised eight excited kiddos to the front of the line. We were walked directly in like celebrities; five minute wait at best. I must admit, I was beyond excited myself.

When the girls turned the corner and saw Anna and Elsa it was like they saw Santa. They all started screaming and jumping up and down. I cried. Seriously. I ugly cried. I love Disney, but mostly I love that Vera believes is magic and fairy tales. There is something truly beautiful about the joy they bring her and the innocence of it all. That coupled with the fact that I know her dress up days are limited, and getting to spend them here is beyond a blessing.

Lucy was not a fan of Elsa. Vera, however, was having a great conversation with Anna

It makes my heart happy. What a magical, wonderful day. 

Vera's Got a Gun, and Lucy Got a Goose Egg

Vera loves all things girly and princess, but she also loves a good super hero and gun. Who doesn't, amiright? Here she is sporting her new cap gun. What you don't see is Vera sneaking it into the bank and whipping it out right as we got up to the teller. She yelled "bang" and I immediately flipped out. Hilarious, definitely yes. Will that lead to problems in her future, yeah. Lesson learned pistol packing Veve. 

After Vera's bank stick up, we headed to the park where Lucgoose showed off her muscles, and the world's smallest stick.

"Leave me alone, I'm doing my arm exercises," barked Lucgoose.

And the giant goose egg she got just a few short moments later. Good thing a ten month old can be distracted with a full sippy cup of water.

When we walked out the door to head to church, we saw tons of eggs on the front lawn. Apparently the neighbor is a friend of the Easter bunny and surprised the family. It was rough, but we managed to make the kids wait until after we got back from church. 

Vera has a death grip on Lucgoose here. She took her down moments later. 

"Matthew did you get a good one of the girls and me?"
"Yes," stated Matthew.

Vera adores her Daddy and says that she will marry him. I dare someone to convince her that she can't.

Slap it in a frame and call it a day. Everyone is looking and no one is crying. It was  an Easter miracle.

It was a rough Easter without our Reece, but that's what makes the day so special. May we live every day like it was Easter; with confidence and hope. He has risen indeed, Alleluia!
