Flamingos and Dolphins

We have been wanting to go to SeaWorld's Discovery Cove since moving to Orlando. It finally happened and we were so excited to wake up and go. Unfortunately Vera woke up with a high fever, so we loaded her up with medicine and headed off. Not our finest hour, but we thought she could rally for a few hours. There were flamingos and dolphins and just all around animal sweetness.

Just me hanging out with a dolphin

Dolphin kisses are indeed magical

Sweet Ve with her dolphin

Matthew loves a good dolphin encounter.

Lucy was by far the most excited to be so close to these beautiful creatures. She loved every minute of it.

Her smile says it all

This picture makes squeezing into a wetsuit worth it. Seriously though, those things are the absolute worst.

Riding a dolphin was epic. There were giant smiles all around.

Weeeeeee!

I sure do love this adventure called life with these three. We are so blessed and have so many amazing memories together. I love them more than they will ever know.

There were also smelly flamingos.

Vera did not feel good, so she was sitting this one out. But Lucy loved these pink guys.

She was resisting the urge to pet him

We tried, but alas we could not get a good picture of all of us and the birds.

3 out of 4 Terrys participated in this picture

This is ass good as it gets. Flamingos are seriously huge and were very interested in Lucy. Vera was not a fan of their aggressiveness.

The water was freezing!

I think this guy was getting a little too friendly with Matthew.

Matthew getting a flamingo kiss.

Poor Vera felt like pooh here, but she was such a trooper. The cold water was just too much for her.

Feeding them shrimp and other goodies

Overall it was just a great day despite not feeling 100%. Time with family is always the best.
