Happy Birthday Jesus

This year Vera was chosen to sing Happy Birthday Jesus at our church's Christmas Eve service. I was so proud and nervous for her. She refused to practice at home, which only added to my anxiety. I would have never had the courage to sing in front of people, and it just blows my mind that she is confident and poised enough to do so. All she requested from me in all of this was that I let her pick her own dress this year. After her wardrobe was decided on, there was nothing left to do but trust that Vera was ready. And then it was finally the big day and off we went on Christmas Eve to hear Vera sing her heart out to Jesus.

She did amazing! I teared up, not because she was adorable or perfect, which I think she was, but because she sang from her heart to Jesus. Nothing could be more important. I pray that the girls will always know Jesus as their Savior and friend, and that Hope was born at Christmas. And that that Hope, Jesus, will be with her till the end. Merry Christmas!

Nutcracker

Matthew surprised us this year with tickets to the Nutcracker. It was a special children's version that ran just over a hour.  It was the perfect way to kick of the holiday season. AND he surprised us with getting balcony tickets. I swear I have never felt so fancy in my entire life. Such a fun family tradition. Maybe next year we can go to the three hour Russian ballet version?

The gang with the toy soldiers
Sweet Ve with the nutcracker she painted the night before
Being fancy in our box
Merry Christmas all.

Disney Day

So when you have a day off from school in central Florida you head to Magic Kingdom. And this day was awesome! Lucy insisted on going to see the Country Bear Jamboree, and wouldn't you know it as we were coming out the bears followed us. Lucy was beside herself with excitement.

Goose and one of the bears

She stopped another bear on his way to the jamboree

And then it was off to the teacups
Hugs from one princess to another
Love it.

May your Christmas be "snowy and white"

Of course we had to go see Cinderella
That dress hold.

Sister time!

I love my time with these girls!

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Wile Matthew was at Clemson, the girls and I head to Disney to kick off our Christmas season. We were super lucky to score a lunch reservation at Minnie's Holiday and Dine and it was glorious. Christmas and Mickey Mouse, could it even get any better?

Me and my gals by the tree and floating bulbs

Vera was making er "I'm freezing face"

Sisters with their Christmas ears

Yes, their Christmas shirts have decorated palm trees on them

I adore these two
And then it was off to see Santa Goofy.

Pure happiness

Daisy looked smashing in her green velvet Christmas dress. Lucy and Ve didn't want to let her go

I still get chills everytime the big cheese comes around.
And then I told the girls they could eat as many desserts as they wanted. Big, wonderful mistake.
Daisy came back for more hugs

She was not disappointed

Holiday Goose
Donald looked very dapper in his vest and cap.

Happiness is snuggling your favorite
Love it.

Getting ear advice from Minnie

And then Donald returned because he was impressed that Vera got one of every dessert

Yummy!

Love this because she is missing her two bottom teeth

And after such a big day, she slept like an angel.
