The Easter Bunny Visit

We welcomed in the first day of Spring with a trip to see the Easter bunnies at Magic Kingdom. As always, it was an adventure.
Meeting Mr and Mrs Easter Bunny. Lucy was not feeling it at this point.
Bunny snuggles
She did not move from this position for a good five minutes

I don't think Mr. EB knew what to do with her.
Here we are, in all our Easter glory
Then we went off to meet Rapunzel, and Lucy was still not feeling anything but having me carry her.
But that all changed when she saw Cinderella. Ahhh to be two and a half and meet your idol.
Cue the princess twirl
Hilarious with the dress holding.

Lucy asked if he could try to see Rapunzel again and actually smile. We were already there so what the hey.
Holding hands with  long haired royalty
Hugs!
Hoping over to see the Bunnies again.  Second times a charm.
This time she was all smiles

Dueling bunny hugs.
Ve looks like she is going to clock Mr. EB square in the chest

Happy Easter all!

"Too tight! You're squeezing me too tight Mrs EB"
Sharing his bunny wisdom. What a great way to welcome in Spring.

Saint Patty's Day

Happy Saint Patty's Day from my two green lovin' stinkers.
Best friends...99% of the time

Making each other giggle
General shenanigans and malarkey

Sweet sister kisses
I am beyond lucky to be the mom of these two little leprechauns. They make me giggle everyday.

Life doesn't get better than this! They are better than any pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. We love you girls!

105!

The day after Vera's Spring Break kicked off, we were stuck in the house for three days with a super high fever. She actually came home from a birthday party because she didn't feel well, now that's saying something. Poor thing was not herself  and didn't eat or drink a thing.
The only good thing about Vera getting sick is that she wants to snuggle me more. Those sad, sick little eyes.
I made her sleep in bed with me since her temperature got so stinkin' high. She was just miserable and woke up every hour.
Are you even kidding me! I totally panicked and busted out the ibuprofen. I also went on fever watch and took her temperature as she slept every single hour. Luckily, the medicine brought it down quickly and it never went back up that hgh.
Having sick kids definitely makes you appreciate when they are healthy; hoping this is it for the girls this season.

Epcot Easter Egg Hunt

This year we headed to Epcot to try our hand at their version of an Easter egg hunt. We picked up our maps and headed to the World Showcase to find a different hidden egg in every country. I didn't know how the girls would do, but Vera loved it, and Lucy got more into it with every egg we found! Between thee girls and Matthew, we were moving at a brisk pace. It was a great day with my favorite people, celebrating my favorite time of year.

Ve and I with our first egg find of the day, Goofy.
Lucgoose and Matthew attempting
It took us forever to find this crazy Pluto egg because we came into this country from the other direction. They were so proud when they finally found it.
Checking out Cinderella in France

Showing off their new maps and they were itching to get started
Ve's completed chart; twelve countries, twelve awesome eggs.
The girl with their hard earned eggs, Lucy chose a Minnie Mouse egg and Vera went with Jesse. I think this may become a tradition if Vera and Matthew let us slow down and enjoy it.

Whoops!

Vera pushed Lucy off the couch yesterday causing her to fall on her head. She knew she was in big trouble and put herself in time-out as I tended to Lucy. When Vera had served her time she went into full on nurse mode and took care of Lucy completely. Good to know she regretted her choice.
Placing an ice pack on Lucy's head
Lucy was milking it for all it was worth at this point. She got Vera to read her three books and snuggle her as a result. The ice pack stayed on her head the entire time.

Vera's School Picture

When picture day rolled around I had my mind on other things, like registering Lucy for preschool the following year. Vera showed up to class in old jean shorts and an Indiana t-shirt. Her teacher asked me, "Did you remember that it is picture day today"? Nope. I did not. We ran back to the car, did a quick wardrobe change at home, and the results are below. I wish I had remembered and gotten a more casual dress, but what the heck. She smiled and looked adorable and that's all that really matters. It's so hard to believe that she will be in Kindergarten next year.

Where is this smile when I ask her to pose for a picture?
My favorite because she looks so much like Matthew.
