School Pictures

The girls wear uniforms to school every day, but for some reason they are allowed to wear whatever they want for school pictures. This of course was a huge deal to Veve so I took her out armed with $10 to buy a new dress. She fell in love with this short sleeved cat dress, so there you go. She is totally my daughter because she headed straight for the clearance rack in hopes of scoring a cheap dress so she could get an accessory too. I think she nailed it despite the untied bow in the front.

First grade and fabulous
Vera also picked out Lucy's dress because she could not have cared less. Her only request was that she wear a "colorful dress". I think Ve hit the nail on the head. PreK and precious!

Day Three...the Adventure Continues

Another Spring Break day, another adventure. This time we headed to Hollywood.

Goose was in her happy place. She often tells people her talent is hugging and I have to agree. She is happiest making other people smile, and in this case it was Daisy.
So grown up. If Vera was standing straight she could be as tall as Daisy's shoulder.
Best one yet.

Classic.

This is going in a frame
Chewy hugs make rainy Wednesdays better

Half way through my break and I am considering playing the lottery so that work is optional; I just want to hang out with the girls full time.

SB Day Two

Day two of Spring Break and the girls requested we go to Magic Kingdom. I was more than happy to comply and off we scampered.
No break from school would be complete without a visit with a princess.
After a morning of rides and togetherness, we stopped by to see Pooh and Tiger.

I wouldn't trust him either Ve
And then it was time to see Mr and Mrs Easter Bunny. We have visited them every year since Vera was 1! It seems unreal to me that this is her 6th year ringing in the Spring season with them. Hippity Hoppity Easter's on its way!
Goose with the Mrs.
I couldn't ask for more

goose holding her dress up, I just can't! Please stay little just awhile longer.
Happiness is high-fiving the Easter bunny.
Sisters in Fantasyland

My sweet flower picking Goose. Moments before we witnessed an engagement in front of Cinderella's castle. Everyone was cheering and clapping, but Lucy proudly stated "I would never want to get engaged in public." OK then Goose. May you always stay that spunky and independent.

The original perfecter of the smirk.
Her two front teeth are hanging on by a thread. I tried to bribe her with treats from Disney if she would pull them out but she refuses. Just a few more days with those sweet baby teeth.

Sister hugs
A quick stop to listen and dance with the "Dapper Dans."
And since we illegally parked at the Grand Floridian, we had to stop and look at all the stores. The girls were given free mickey soap and about came out of their frames. It is indeed the little things in life. i so love spending time with them; they are awesome little people!

Spring Break Kick Off

We kicked off Spring Break with a trip to Epcot to visit Anna and Elsa. I am painfully aware that my time with little girls who want to dress up as princess' will be over before I know it. Until then, I will soak up every minute and bask in their sweet innocence. Here's to a great break with my two favorite little girls.

The girls with Elsa
It was totally windy that day and I had no clue how crazy my hair looked. Oh well. I still had a great time with these two, despite getting stuck on Spaceship Earth for forty minutes.

Holy Cow Orange Bird flew into our picture!
Just taking a break from it all by the giant topiaries

Goofing around in Anna and Elsa's house

We ended thee day by checking out the Coco display in Mexico. Magical day for sure.

Sundays are for Family

It's been awhile since we took picture on Sunday. The girls are growing up so quickly, and life seems to just be flying by. I need to get back in the habit of capturing these moments because they really are what it is all about. I have a wonderful family and a blessed life.

Happiness is giggling with your day at something ridiculous.
Her favorite place to be, and two of my favorite blue-eyed

Beauty and the Beast

Ruthie gave Vera tickets to see Beauty and the Beast at the Orlando Ballet. Vera patiently waited for months, and we finally headed off to the theater. We got pulled over for speeding and a ticket on our way, but it was worth it. We had an amazing time together watching a beautiful, original ballet.

Anxiously waiting for them to open the doors
Free face painting before hand was an added bonus. Vera decided on the pink ballerina; it only seemed appropriate.
Then it was off to the craft station where Vera made her own magical rose in a glass case
But the highlight of the pre-show activities had to be a ballet class with company ballerinas
Making her Mrs Potts.

Next to the Belle costume
a quick photo with some of the performers

I sure do love the theater and I'm so glad there are opportunities like this so that Vera can too.

It was a wonderful afternoon with my Veve.
